Managed Starlink & Estate-Wide Wi-Fi in Rural Cádiz

A large rural property in Cádiz presented exactly the kind of challenge Alborán Connect is built for.
The site had never been seen in advance, the journey was over three hours each way, and the requirement went far beyond simply installing Starlink.
The aim was to create a reliable, managed network capable of covering the main villa, outdoor areas, swimming pool, separate accommodation and remote systems across a large estate.

At the main connection point Starlink reached 446 Mbps download, 49 Mbps upload and 22 ms latency.
Villa, Pool & Pool House
The main villa required reliable Wi-Fi both internally and externally.
From there, coverage also needed to extend towards a 20-metre swimming pool approximately 60 metres from the main house.
Beyond the pool sits a modern self-contained pool house with a glass-curtain entrance, which also required stable connectivity.
The existing Deco mesh equipment was integrated into the wider network rather than unnecessarily replaced, allowing useful existing infrastructure to remain part of the new managed system.
Reaching the Remote Reservoir
The most demanding part of the project was at the far end of the property.
The client has created a large man-made pond and fishing reservoir approximately 30 metres wide and around 8 metres deep.
As the area develops it will become its own ecosystem, but it also contains systems requiring reliable Wi-Fi connectivity for control and monitoring.
The reservoir sits more than 100 metres from the main house.
Using the UniFi U7 Outdoor, the network was extended across the estate with excellent results.
110+Mbps
At the reservoir, download speeds exceeded 110 Mbps. For a remote point more than 100 metres from the main building, this provided considerably more bandwidth than the connected control systems required.
Remote Management & Support
With the property located more than three hours from our base, remote management was a prerequisite rather than an optional extra.
The network was designed from the outset to allow ongoing monitoring, diagnostics and support without every minor issue requiring a seven-hour round trip.
This is particularly important on larger rural properties where internet connectivity supports far more than phones and laptops.
Cameras, solar equipment, televisions, controls and other connected systems all depend on the network remaining stable.

The finished system provides a managed network across a large rural estate, combining Starlink, UniFi infrastructure and existing mesh equipment.
This project is a good example of why larger rural properties often need much more than a standard router installation.
The internet connection is only the starting point.
The real job is getting that connection reliably to every part of the property that needs it.
