A Wi-Fi extender rebroadcasts an already-weak signal and loses most of the speed in the process. When the destination is a separate building, a gate at the end of a track, or a workshop hundreds of metres away, extending Wi-Fi is not the answer — a proper wireless link is.

There is a real difference between extending Wi-Fi and designing a point-to-point network. A properly designed wireless bridge needs a clear line of sight, the right mounting height, the correct hardware for the distance, and an understanding of the terrain and interference at the site. Get any of those wrong and the link is slow, unreliable or doesn't work at all.
We assess the path between buildings — the distance, the obstructions, the mounting options and the interference — before specifying hardware. We regularly design links spanning hundreds of metres, and where the site allows, approximately 500 metres to 1 kilometre or more. We won't promise a speed or range the site can't deliver; we'll design what actually works.
